What Types of Custom Banners Do I Need?

Companies that specialize in making custom banners are able to design them to all sorts of specifications. Therefore, there are a number of things you will want to take into consideration before you order your own custom banner.

Size depends a lot on where it will be displayed and how many people will be seeing it. If being displayed indoors, it might not need to be very big. However, it if it will be outside and you want it to be seen by lots of people, you probably want a banner large enough that people will be able to see it from a far distance.

Regarding shape, what are your custom banners going to display? Will it be a picture, a message, or something different. If you will be displaying a logo or some kind of compact picture, a square or short rectangle might suffice. However, if you have a long text message to display, perhaps you will need something longer.  

Nowadays, custom banners are usually made from vinyl, but even what sort of vinyl is best will depend on its purpose. Banners that need to be more durable will require a heavier vinyl. How durable you need your banner to be depends on what it will be exposed to. Will it be outside, exposed to the rain, the wind, and other elements? And how long will it be displayed for? The longer it is needed, the heavier the vinyl that will be required.

For common uses, custom makers often have pre-made banners in stock. If cost is an issue, and there is one available to fit your needs, you may be able to get by with something the company already has.  

Can you make your own Custom Banners?

Many custom banner makers have blank banners and letters available. This may be a good option if price is an issue and you are confident in your own artistic abilities. However, this could be quite time consuming and if you need a large quantity of banners, it is likely more cost-effective to have the work done for you.
